After gaining a lot of modeling experience, including walking the runway at Adidas' world campaign and the New York Collection, she decided she wanted to be the one dressing models, so she started her own brand.
In 2016, he launched the fashion brand "IKUMI."
Born to a Japanese mother and a German father, the brand is a fusion of the two cultures, and is made up of only black and white. The white represents an angel, and the black represents a devil, and it represents the duality of life, like light and shadow.
Ikumi grew up in Japan and is deeply fascinated by the essence of Japan, including kanji, harmony, monsters, and anime.
It also contains strong elements of techno and punk, which are the essence of Germany.
